      What this product is for

This breaker provides branch-circuit overcurrent protection and combination arc fault protection on 120V circuits. It is used in Siemens loadcentres and panelboards that accept Type QAF2 plug-on breakers.

      Use for

Use for 15A, 120V single-pole residential circuits where AFCI protection is specified, such as bedroom, living area and similar branch circuits, subject to local electrical code. It is commonly paired with #14 AWG copper conductors on 15A circuits.

      Avoid for

Do not use where the panel is not listed for Siemens Type QAF2 breakers. Do not assume compatibility with plug-on-neutral, tandem, GFCI-only or dual-function breaker positions without checking the panel label and breaker type.

      Best for

Best for service work, panel upgrades and breaker replacement where a standard plug-on Siemens combination AFCI breaker is required in a 15A, 120V branch circuit.

      Installed in

Installed in Siemens residential loadcentres and other listed distribution equipment that accept this breaker format. The breaker body is approximately 1 in wide (25 mm) and mounts as a 1-pole plug-on unit.

      Why this product exists

Arc faults are a known ignition risk in branch-circuit wiring. This breaker is designed to open the circuit when it detects qualifying arc fault conditions while also providing standard thermal-magnetic overcurrent protection.

      Compared with similar products

Compared with a standard thermal-magnetic breaker, this model adds combination AFCI protection. Compared with plug-on-neutral or dual-function models, this is a standard plug-on AFCI breaker and panel compatibility must be confirmed before purchase.
