Zinc-plated steel fender washer with 3/8 in inside diameter and 1-1/2 in outside diameter for spreading load over thin material, sheet metal, boxes, panels, and mounting surfaces. Commonly used where a standard flat washer does not provide enough bearing area.

What this product is for

This fender washer is used to spread the load of a bolt or screw over a larger surface area than a standard flat washer. It is commonly selected for sheet metal, electrical enclosures, panel mounting, brackets, and other installations where pull-through protection is important.

Use for

Use for 3/8 in fasteners, oversized bearing surface applications, light equipment mounting, electrical boxes, panel hardware, strut accessories, and repairs where thin material needs added support. The 1-1/2 in outside diameter provides more coverage than a standard washer.

Avoid for

Avoid using where stainless steel, hot-dip galvanized, or specialty corrosion-resistant hardware is required, or where a structural engineered washer is specified. Do not assume zinc plating is suitable for highly corrosive outdoor, marine, or chemical environments.

Best for

Best for electricians and contractors securing components to sheet metal or other thin mounting surfaces where a larger contact area helps reduce deformation. Also useful when covering oversized or worn holes during retrofit work.
